Abstract

The technology of applying a nanostructured Ti - TiN coating to a cutting tool is considered. The main requirements for protective coatings applied to the cutting tool are set out and the conditions necessary for selecting the coating material are formulated. The basic directions of perfection of the cutting tool with a covering are described. The conditions for multilayer coatings are formulated. The process of obtaining multilayer coatings is described. The study of the properties of multilayer coatings applied on the developed technology.
