Abstract

The requirements to models and procedures representing the characteristics of turbomachinery in the working fluid flow within the turbocharged piston engine are analyzed. For development and implementation of the models in applied software library, a set of requirements is taken into account: models must adequately represent performance of turbomachinery with respect to regime and design parameters of turbomachinery stages and provide or facilitate parametric identification. Models are implemented as modular library routines and applied to analyze the processes of gas exchange in turbocharged diesel engine.
