Abstract

The use of gas-dynamic stabilization of the flame in the afterburner combustion chambers of aircraft gas turbine engines is one of the promising directions in the development of engine building. But the analytical description and numerical modeling of the processes of interaction between the stabilizing jet and the incoming flow is difficult due to their non-stationary and dependence on many factors. The solution to this problem may be the introduction of amendments to the calculated dependence and coefficients determined experimentally. The article describes the experimental setup for the study of gasdynamic stabilization of the flame, the conditions and the results of the experiments. A brief analysis of the results is also provided.
