Abstract

The article describes a numerical experiment with the results of calculating the natural frequencies of transverse vibrations of a rod of variable cross-section with elastic fixation at one of the ends. The possibility of refining by extrapolation the calculated values of natural frequencies obtained by the method of algebraic polynomials of the fifth degree is analyzed. It is shown that ex-trapolation made it possible to increase the accuracy of calculations by the numerical method by 2-3 orders of magnitude
