For the first time, di-ortho-alkenyl substituted derivatives of para-anisidine and para-phenethidine were synthesized. 4-Chloro-2-pentene and 3-chlorocyclopentene, hydrochlorination products of piperilene and cyclopentadiene, respectively, were used as alkenylating agents. It was demonstrated that the reaction could be performed in one or two stages. The obtained compounds were found to be effective inhibitors of acid corrosion of steel
