Design features of multiple-groove forming tools for manufacturing of polymer articles of a round cross section

Abstract

Design features of multiple-strand forming tools with various lugs in the center of a muzzle are considered in the paper. There are presented muzzles with hyperbolic, conic and corbel lugs, the main purpose of which is flattening of extrudate flaws in the channel output.  Multiple extrusion groove; multiplegroove forming muzzle; extrusions; extrudate.
