Main problems of converted aircraft gtes application in marine power plants and their solution

Abstract

This article addresses the main historically developed approaches to marine gas turbine engines and plants creation. It addresses the main problems which shall be solved during aircraft gas-turbine engines conversion for application thereof in marine power plants. Main examples of marine gas turbine engines and plants creation on the base of aircraft core engines in Russia and abroad are presented.
