Abstract

Regularities of different stripping methods for wear resistant Ti-TiN coating removal from titanium alloy surface have been established. A process of full coating stripping using chemical method with acid solution and a process of the coating loosening with consequent machining with an abrasive tool have been studied. It was shown that cyclic fatigue strength after application of the abovementioned methods is the same as for the untreated samples.
