The compensation of intersymbol interference based on shaping filters in telecommunication systems

Abstract

This  paper proposes the compensation of intersymbol interference and improvement of communication system spectral efficiency by different types of shaping filters usage. In order to obtain impulse characteristics it is offered to minimize mean-root-square deviation with allowance of the Nyquist criteria to compensate intersymbol interference. For estimating purposes of the obtained results the eye-diagrams were employed on the basis of which main signal parameters were defined provided that these diagrams influence on intersymbol interference in telecommunication systems. Conclusions on ability to use different types of filters are also introduced.
