Analysis of the schemes forming the involute profile of the surface of gear cutting cutters

Abstract

Different schemes of forming an involute gear cutting surface cutters are analyzed in terms of performance grinding, profile accuracy and surface quality. We consider a common method to replace the involute radius of a circle that can be inscribed in the involute profile of not more than three points of the theoretical profile, which is one of the main reasons for the low profile accuracy in the method of copying. To increase the accuracy of involute profile, the production of gear cutting cutters shaped grinding method, a method is proposed to introduce changes and profiling of the grinding wheel grinding using replacement involute profile of an ellipse. Replacing evolvent ellipse can enter into a theoretical involute profile five or more points lie on the theoretical profile.
