Abstract

The article is devoted to the development of a mathematical model that allows to estimate the effectiveness on-board power unit (PU) based on proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) use as an aircraft auxiliary power unit. Preliminary calculations showed that the highest efficiency of the schemes considered has an oxygen-hydrogen power unit. The highest efficiency of the air-hydrogen power plants is achieved by the use of an electric motor as a compressor drive.
