Abstract

The essential problem of of the electric power sup-ply is to provide quality of electric power in the networks of general purpose. The depth and the duration of a volt-age sag is one of the significations of the quality of electric power. At the present time the question of equipment protection from the impact of voltage sags has a consider-able attention, however the problem of reducing the sags on the level of the cause of their uprising is studied only from the point of view of decreasing the probability of oc-currence of short circuits in electric networks. Thereby the analysis of factors influencing the nature of voltage sags pretends to be up-to-date, this would reduce the damage caused by sags and improve the quality of electricity, on the level of distribution networks as well as power sys-tems of individual industrial enterprises.
