Abstract

The article provides an analysis of working process features of gas-turbine engine turbine with diagonal wheel space, which is important for current turbofan engines with high bypass ratio. It is shown that the working process in diagonal stage of turbine must be analyzed with taking into account the changing radius of the wheel space and the design of turbine cascade. The impact of wheel space slope angle on the turbine efficiency is shown. Special attention is given to the low-pressure turbine first stage nozzle assembly, which is working in a system with interturbine transition duct. The paper includes the approaches to defining energy losses in blade rows of diagonal turbine with different versions of wheel space structural layout.
