Abstract

This paper provides the results of empirical and numerical analysis of twin-web welded disk. The main strength and technological problems were considered and analyzed: designing a twin-web disk with a welded joint, supplying a laser beam to the welding zone, ensuring the penetration of metal, ensuring the mechanical strength of the welded joint, modifying the disk structure to ensure non-closure of webs under the action of centrifugal forces. In order to work out the welding conditions, simulator rings and a twin-web disk were made from EI698VD. An overspeed test were carried out and the sufficiency of the static strength of the welding joint was shown.
