Abstract

This article discusses the bending and torsional vi-brations of the rotor shaft of centrifugal fans. Based on the equations for the movement of the elastic line of the shaft (beam) in places of applied concentrated masses and loads, the frequency equations of bending vibrations for n-mass systems are given, as well as two-mass ones, which were used to determine the eigenfrequencies of bending vibrations without taking into account the precession, as well as taking into account the direct and inverse preces-sions. When considering torsional vibrations based on the presented system The natural equations of motion for the n-mass system were used to determine the eigenfrequen-cies of torsional vibrations. Based on the theoretical stud-ies, dependencies were constructed that reflect the as-sessment of the influence of the geometric parameters of the shaft, as well as the precession phenomena on the rotor operation.
