Abstract

The stress-strain state of a pipe made of an inhomogeneous elastic material is considered. The solution of the problem is represented by hypergeometric series. The results of calculations for inhomogeneous thick-walled tubes, non-uniform shell and very thin heterogeneous shell. The analytical solution is effective in analyzing the stress-strain state of a cylinder with a thin inhomogeneous layer. It is shown that radial stresses and displacements in a non-uniform cylinder are less than in a homogeneous one. It is found that the tangential stresses in the inhomogeneous shell along the radius decrease to a greater extent.
