Abstract

In this paper presents the results of a study of a metal-ceramic composite material team turbines flow path shroud seals that operate for a long time in conditions of high temperatures and high-frequency vibrations. A material that simultaneously provides high rates of abrasion and mechanical strength due to the reasonable choice of composition and dispersion of the raw materials was developed. Samples of cermet composite were obtained by pressing the initial charge of Fe-13% Cr-2% Mo steel powder and BN boron nitride followed by solidphase sintering. It is shown that the regulated structure of steel powder in combination with ceramic additives BN. The results of experimental studies of the abrasion of composite with different structurein the interaction with the embedded element of the steam turbine blade are presented.
