Abstract

The article presents the results of an experimental study of the aerodynamic characteristics of interturbine ducts with area ratio of 1 ... 2.1 in the conditions of aerodynamic wakes from a high pressure turbine simulated using a model wheel. The similarity criteria used in modeling aerodynamic wakes are analyzed. The flow separation boundary in interturbine ducts under conditions of rotating aerodynamic wakes is obtained. Data on the distribution of aerodynamic wakes in the studied interturbine ducts are obtained. The effect of rotating aerodynamic wakes on the internal loss coefficients of the studied interturbine ducts is shown.
