Abstract

A study was made of the possibility of using borosilicate glasses for sealing spark plugs, as well as the effect of various materials of the central electrode of the spark plug on the tightness of metal-glass-ceramic junction and various technological schemes, modes of soldering with a molybdenum borosilicate glass. It has been shown that it is possible to solder with borosilicate glass in an oxidizing environment with the combination of certain metal-glass-ceramic pairs and a certain soldering mode to ensure tightness and heat resistance of the assembly. It was found that the proposed soldering technology allows to mechanize and automate the process of manufacturing ceramic cores
