Abstract

The necessity of vibration diagnostics of aircraft piston engines is substantiated. The main causes of vibrations in engines with reciprocating parts are described. The structural parameters in the places of vibration occurrence and their influence on the overall vibration pattern are given. The features of vibration activity control in an aircraft piston engine are indicated. The main measured parameters of vibration activity are listed and recommendations on the choice of frequency ranges of measurements are given.
