Analisis of an experimental method for determining parameters flow and their errors at the compressor inlet gas turbine engine

Abstract

Several methods of processing the results of experimental determination using a combined receiver of the pressure of the flow parameters at the compressor inlet are considered. The influence of the flow velocity in front of the compressor and the operating modes of the engine on the error level of the experimental determination of the absolute and reduced flow velocity is investigated. The methodological error of the methods in which the constancy of the flow density is assumed when it is decelerated in front of the pressure receiver is highlighted. When processing experimental data, it is recommended to take into account the change in density when the flow is decelerated in front of the pressure receiver. A quantitative estimation of the error of experimental determination of flow parameters in the range of operating modes of the engine is given.
