Scalable parallel algorithm for simulation of 3D dynamics of gravitating systems using particle-in-cells methods

Abstract

 Parallel algorithm for numerical solving of VlasovPoisson equation using particle-in-cell method is developed. New method of processors dynamic load-balancing is used. Processors are distributed among subdomains corresponding to the number of particles. Domain decomposition method allows to combine grid (Eulerian) method for solving Poisson equation and Lagrangian method for solving Vlasov equation. It uses physical features of problems of non-stationary rotating gravitating disks (2D and 3D).
