Abstract

The paper analyzes the work on the problem of damage to gas turbine engine (GTE) elements by foreign objects thrown by a ground vortex. The main approaches to determining the initial conditions necessary for modeling the throwing of the foreign objects at the entrance to the aircraft power plant, including their aerodynamic parameters, are considered. A computational and experimental method is proposed for determining the drag coefficient of foreign objects. The paper presents the results of testing of the proposed method, namely the statistical characteristics of the aerodynamic parameters of foreign objects
