Abstract

Current modeling issues related to the creation of information systems of various types are considered. Interrelation of various methodologies and design notations are investigated. The possibilities of combining various approaches based on ontology are explored, with subsequent im-plementation in the form of classical systems and databases, and for the creation of artificial intelligence systems. It is assumed that ontologies are built according to common principles and on the basis of a single thesaurus. Despite this, the task of constructing a single ontology can present sig-nificant difficulties associated with the need to combine different ontologies describing different subject areas. An example of ontology transformation for subsequent implementation in a database is considered.
