Abstract

A dynamics of the surface layer properties during the electrolytic plasma polishing of steel 20Х13 have  been investigated. Significant factors driving the surface layer properties during the treatment have been uncovered. Parametric mathematical models for estimation of the surface roughness, stripped surface layer thickness and current density during the electrolytic plasma polishing have been developed. The models can be implemented for diagnostics and control functions within an automated control system for  the technological process of electrolytic plasma polishing.
