Abstract

The article considers the realization of a concrete example of the strengthened layer formation on a face surface of the piston ring groove received by means of a spark hardening method in the air environment which allows to form. Highly wear resistant coating on a surface of a aluminum alloys part. The description of the method is given, as well as experiment result on the quality of a strengthened surface layer influence on wear resistance of a piston ring groove ICE.
