Abstract

This paper considers technological process of ion nitridingin plasma of the glow discharge with the effect of the hollow cathode (EHC). Experimental results of influence of composition of saturating gas on surface microhardness are presented. Thickness of the nitrated layer and phase structure of constructional steels are estimated at modifying by plasma of the glow discharge with the effect of the hollow cathode.
